The unconventional campaign — shot by photographer Steven Klein — suits the unusual scent, Lady Gaga Fame. Dubbed “the first-ever black perfume” (it turns clear once spritzed) the aroma is described as dark, sensual and light according to WWD.
The fragrance features notes of belladonna, incense, saffron, honey, apricot nectar, crushed tiger orchid, and jasmine sambac (not blood and bodily fluids as rumored).
Before leaking it, Gaga revealed she was rather uneasy: “i won’t lie I’m a bit nervous. its been a while since i’ve shared some work with you. But i’m so proud of Steven+I, we really did not sleep!” she Tweeted.
Along with print ads set to run in September fashion magazines, a television commercial and a three-minute film are also slated to debut to promote the perfume. Lady Gaga Fame hits beauty counters this November.
