Nicki Minaj says she has no hard feelings for Hot 97 after a very public conflict with the New York radio station.
"I feel like it happened and there is no animosity, I still love them over there at the station," the MC told the BBC's Tim Westwood.
"They've helped me a lot as well. It's not like we're walking around being angry, we just wanted to prove that one point and that was that."
Minaj pulled out of the station's Summer Jam concert on the instructions of label boss Lil Wayne after a Hot 97 DJ made disrespectful remarks about Minaj's crossover hit "Starships" earlier in the day.
"That's a female; first and foremost Nicki Minaj is a female. I don't know what anyone else believes, but I believe females deserve the ultimate respect at all times no matter, when or where or how," Wayne previously told MTV.
The back-and-forth included a heated on-air hour-long debate between Minaj and Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex, which saw Minaj memorably telling the incensed hip-hop veteran, "I need you to simmer."
