Robin Antin Sets The Record Straight With New PCD Lineup

Robin Antin recently took some time out of her busy schedule to chat with Jeff Benjamin at Billboard about the Pussycat Dolls comeback.

The final PCD lineup hasn’t been set in stone yet, but it looks like ex-Paradiso Girl Lauren Bennet and that hot Laker Girl are in. Sadly, this means that ex-Richgirl diva Kristal “Lyndriette” Smith’s status in the group is unknown at this point.

“Producers are calling,” Antin tells Billboard. “Everyone wants to be a part of the Pussycat Dolls. A group is a hard thing to do but I feel like we hold that part of the market. I’ve been able to really brand it.”

“Everyone wants to see the Pussycat Dolls,” Antin says of the brand’s ongoing success and the music group’s revival. “They know whoever I put in that all the girls are going to be amazing. They’re obviously going to be really hot, but also really talented. I don’t let anyone into my world — the Pussycat Dolls — unless they are fierce.“

Monica Brings 'New Life' A Release Date For 2012

Earlier this week, news came that Monica’s ‘New Life‘ release date had been pushed back and confused many of her supporters who had been looking forward its arrival in December.

Today, the album’s new release date has been officially set for February 21st 2012. Writing on Twitter, the R&B DIVA said:

"I wanna thank u for your love, dedication & support.. RCA & I are restructuring the entire plan for the album & the entire movement. I refuse to not give the music that those of you who have supported me deserve, creative things take time because they cant be planned."

This will place her in direct competition with her former chart "Frienemy" Brandy, and fellow DIVAS Leona Lewis and Christina Aguilera are also expected to release albums around the same time. Achieving an impressive run on the Billboard 200 will be anything but a walk in the park.

Rihanna Loses Top Spot On The Global Charts

Last week, Rihanna’s smash hit single "We Found Love" shot to the top spot of the United World Track Chart after the release of its well received video.

Now, the track has lost its position as the highest selling single in the world, despite currently being Np.1 in the US.

Now residing at the No.2 spot, "We Found Love" is one chart position below Maroon 5’ and Christina Aguilera's "Moves Like Jagger" and three spots above Adele’s "Someone Like You."

On the album’s front, Fenty’s ‘Loud’ holds court at No.23, moving 32,000 units in the last week.

This places it 21 spots below Adele’s ‘21′ which lost out to being this weeks No.1 due to the release of Colplay’s ‘Mylo Xyloto,‘ despite selling 245,000 copies in the last seven days alone, pushing its total global sales figure to 11.67 million.

Kelly Clarkson Makes "Strong" Social 50 Chart Debut

With the release of Kelly Clarkson's latest album "Stronger" on Oct. 24th, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 this week, the singer also edges her way into Social 50 tally and debuts at No. 45.

In the days following "Stronger's" bow, she made appearances on sites like Idolator and CelebBuzz, where she named her favorite albums and answered various questions that pertained to her career successes.

An interesting thing to note is that Clarkson's video for the single "Mr. Know It All" premiered on Sept. 25 and had a successful run, pulling in 7 million Vevo plays so far.

Yet, that fairly substantial momentum proved to be insufficient at bringing her into the top 50. Week-to-week, Clarkson grew her audience by 52,000 fans and also saw a jump in her plays, raising her Vevo play count up to 3 million.

Exhausted Rihanna Cancels Second Concert In Sweden

Organizers say Rihanna has been forced to cancel a show in Sweden due to exhaustion for a second time this week.

Live Nation spokesman Kristofer Akesson said the singer felt ill ahead of her concert in Stockholm on Wednesday night and that she decided in consultation with a doctor to cancel the show about an hour before she was to go on stage.

Akesson says Rihanna "is exhausted and doesn't feel well," but could not give more details.

Rihanna tweeted an apology an hour ago, writing, "Sorry Malmo!" -- attaching a picture of her arm with tubes coming out of it.

The singer called off a concert in Malmo in southern Sweden on Monday, but was able to perform the following night in Stockholm. Organizers are trying to arrange new dates for the shows.

FCC Loses Janet Jackson Super Bowl Case

It will almost be eight years since the incident, and an appeals court finally ruled CBS won't be fined $550,000 for Janet Jackson's 2004 wardrobe malfunction during the Super Bowl XXXVIII broadcast.

According to The Wrap, Philadelphia's 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the FCC wrongly fined Jackson and the network for the half-time show performance, which accidentally exposed the singer's breast.

The court said the FCC's decision was made "arbitrarily and capriciously." The government agency was reportedly disappointed by the ruling, while CBS spokeswoman Shannon Jacobs saw it as a chance for the FCC to "return to the policy of restrained indecency enforcement it followed for decades."

After years of classic rockers, there will be plenty of opportunities for wardrobe malfunctions at the 2012 Super Bowl: Madonna will reportedly headline the half-time show, with an assist from M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj on her upcoming single.

Florence + The Machine 'Ceremonials': Billboard Track-By-Track Review

1. Only If For Night - Harp-heavy start leads into one of the album's many booming piano and tribal drum crescendos and chorus-fueled singalongs. Track grows repetitive, trying just a little too hard to be an anthem.

2. Shake It Out - Welch's goth-pop allure is summed up in the chorus of the album's dramatic first single: "It's hard to dance with the devil on your back, so shake him off." She's a different kind of pop star, as if Flo fans needed to be told that.

3. What The Water Gave Me
- Feels more like fiction than most of Flo's lyrics. A drowning narrative spread across five+ minutes of soaring, singalong pop-rock. The word "epic" is almost too weak.

4. Never Let Me Go - R&B-tinged piano ballad that feels like a better fit on the more disjointed "Lungs" than the cohesively haunting "Ceremonials."

Fromer PCD Member Jessica Sutta Tops The Billboard Club Charts

A former Pussycat Doll is celebrating a No.1 hit single and it's not Nicole Scherzinger!

Jessica Sutta has ascended to the No.1 position with her hugely popular dance hit “Show Me.”

To make the victory even sweeter, Jessica is the first Pussycat Doll to ever top the Billboard Club chart as a solo artist.

“Show Me,” which was remixed by the likes of Dave Aude and Alex Gaudino, is Jessica’s second time at the top following her 2007 collaboration with Aude, “Make It Last,” while her Paul Van Dyk feature “White Lies” peaked at No. 3 in the same year.

“Show Me” has now been sent out to Top Forty radio in the hopes of crossing over onto the Hot 100, which we think is highly possible.

Lady Gaga Covers 7-Foot-Tall Magazine (Price Tag: $1,500)

Lady Gaga is a larger-than-life artist, so her latest magazine cover, a visually striking, 5x7 foot edition of Visionaire, likely won't shock anyone. But the price tag, ranging from $375 to $1,500, might keep it off the oversized coffee tables of most budget-conscious Monsters out there.

Shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the front and back cover of Visionaire 61 LARGER THAN LIFE features the pop superstar as a slick-covered mermaid. Her response to the mess, "There is no oil too thick as to destroy the imagination." According to Visionaire, it has been certified by the Guiness World Records as being the largest magazine ever produced.

Visionaire can be found at the Visionaire Gallery in New York City and at visionaireworld.com. It's available in two sizes: Standard measures 36 inches x 49.48 inches and goes for $375. A deluxe edition measuring 57.48 inches x 79 inches will run you $1,500.

While it's being touted as the largest magazine ever, it's not the most expensive. According to the Guiness World Records website, Nomenus Quarterly, a folio of unpublished images, has a price tag of $6,500.

Rihanna Scores Her 11th No.1 Single With "We Found Love"

Rihanna rises to her 11th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, as "We Found Love," featuring Calvin Harris, ascends 2-1 with Airplay Gainer honors in its sixth week on the survey.

Rihanna is just the seventh artist in the Hot 100's 53-year history to tally at least 11 leaders, joining the Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (18), Michael Jackson (13), Madonna (12), the Supremes (12) and Whitney Houston (11). She passes Janet Jackson and Stevie Wonder, each with 10 No. 1s.

Among women, Rihanna, thus, moves into a third-place tie with Houston for most toppers, after only Carey and Madonna.

In other RiRi news, according to Amazon, the standard edition of her new album ‘Talk That Talk‘ will contain 10 tracks.

The limited edition will allow fans to access a private website which holds additional behind the scenes footage of her ‘Love’ video as well as two additional tracks which have been billed as ‘unreleased singles.’

The Lyrics To Madonna's Next Single!!!

Madonna will most definitely be performing some of her new material off her next album at the 2012 The Super Bowl, including the first single to be released, "Give Me All Your Love." We don't know what it sounds like yet, but the lyrics to the track have finally leaked!

(Note: The lyrics are from a demo version of the song. While sources say that these are as close to the real deal as they come, lyrics are subject to change.)

L-U-V Madonna
Y-O-U You wanna
I see you coming and I don’t wanna know your name
L-U-V Madonna
I see you coming and you’re gonna have to change the game
Y-O-U You wanna
Would you like to try?
Give me a reason why
Give me all that you got
Maybe you’ll do fine
As long as you don’t lie to me
And pretend to be what you’re not

Janet Jackson looks gorgeous in green on the December cover of Harper's Bazaar Arabia.

Just the news we needed after actress Thandie Newton's recent blast on Vogue's lack of diversity on its covers. Though it's not a Vogue cover, it's still a step in the right direction.

Jackson shot the Harper's Bazaar cover and feature story while visiting the Middle East on her current "Number Ones: Up, Close, & Personal" tour.
