Beyonce's '4' Set For 2 Weeks At No. 1
The biggest new album that dropped yesterday (July 5) was Lloyd's "King of Hearts" set, which, according to industry prognosticators, may sell around 20,000 copies by week's end on Sunday, July 10. That figure might garner it a debut somewhere in the top 15.
Beyonce's "4" bowed at No. 1 this past week with 310,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan, marking the leading lady's fourth solo No. 1 album.

Adele & Katy Perry Rule Billboards Mid-Year SoundScan Charts
"21" has moved 2,517,000 copies in the U.S. since its release on Feb. 22 -- through the week ending July 3, the mid-point of the tracking year. It's the only album to have sold more than 2 million in 2011, and one of only two to surpass 1 million.
The second is Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," which has moved 1,540,000. (72% of that total was shifted in its debut week, when it started with 1,108,000 -- making it only the 17th album to sell a million in one week since SoundScan began tracking data in 1991.)

Mariah Carey's First Sighting In NYC After Giving Birth To Twins
The mother of twins’ self-imposed exile ended today after she spotted in New York City as she returned to her Manhattan residence.
The 41 year old is reportedly gearing up to serve as a mentor on Fox’s X Factor USA, ahead of the release of her next studio album (currently slated for a late 2011/early 2012 release window).
There were reports that Simon Cowell was courting a then-very pregnant Mariah Carey for a position on the judges panel, and now, we've gotten word that the DIVA will in fact, being joining the reality situation, although as a mentor to the contestants.

First Listen: Nicki Minaj - "We Miss You"
The song is said to be an old recording but fits tribute to her cousin she lost on the 4th of July, lyrics such as "Why you have to go in July," its very coincidental almost like a premonition. Nicki Minaj revealed via twitter the song was recorded in May 2010 and was sent to Mariah Carey & Keyshia Cole for possible collaborations on it.
The Lowdown On Kelly Clarkson Latest Track "Let Me Down"
"Let Me Down" finds Clarkson railing against romantic frustration as she previously did in singles like "Because of You" and "Never Again," with a catchy guitar hook and pummeling percussion mirroring the singer's melodic woes. "I've been dying to open my eyes/See you try instead of always leaving me out to dry," Clarkson sneers before the second chorus kicks in.
Last May, Clarkson told fans on Facebook that the first taste of the follow-up to 2009's "All I Ever Wanted" would be released during the summer, following a series of leaked demos. "The recording is all done and now we're finishing up with mixing the record and getting ready to release the single in July," she wrote.
A representative for RCA Music Group declined to comment as to whether or not "Let Me Down" will appear on Clarkson's next album, which is due out this fall, or when the song will be officially released.

Lady Gaga Fires Back In 'The Advocate' Magazine
On the claim she copies Madonna, she explained:
"I just feel so connected to Madonna in a lot of ways, and I feel connected to Barbra, and I feel connected to Cher and Blondie and all of the women who came before me. I worshipped them my whole life, and I would never be where I am today without all of them to inspire me. I feel so grateful that I have such strong women to look up to.”
Addressing the suggestion she uses the LGBT community for her own personal gain, she revealed:
“To say that I would use the gay community to sell records is probably one of the most ridiculous statements anyone can make about me as a person, I would say the top thing I think about every single day of my life, other than my fans, loving the music, and my family being healthy, is social justice and equality.”

While we have no idea if that is true, we can report from a well placed source that the rumor Shakira is in the running for J.Lo's spot is definitely FALSE.
In their words, the story is "not true at all."

First Listen: Michelle Williams - "Love Gun"
Almost 3 years since the release of Michelle Williams‘ last studio album ‘Unexpected,’ she is back in the studio with hit makers Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, among others>. Williams had this to say about her upcoming album:
“My album will be ‘inspirational pop.’ Think of Katy Perry’s ‘Fireworks’ or Natasha Beddingfeld’s ‘Unwritten.’ I want to give people a message of hope while at the same time get them moving with dance inspired tracks.”
Beyonce Notches 4th Billboard 200 No. 1 With '4'
It's the DIVA's fourth solo No. 1 and fourth studio set to top the list. She's only the third act and second woman to see their first four studio albums debut atop the Billboard 200. Britney Spears did it with her first four between 1999 and 2003.
"4's" sales launch is lowest of her four releases: 2008's "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" entered with 482,000; 2006's "B'Day" bowed with 541,000 and 2003's "Dangerously In Love" started with 317,000.
Still, "4's" bow is pretty big for 2011. It marks the third-largest sales week of the year, after the No. 1 bows of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" (1.1 million) and Adele's "21" (351,000).
Adele Breaks Even More Records With '21'
Her single "Someone Like You" is the first single of the decade to sell 1,000,000 copies in the UK, topping the efforts of close rival Lady Gaga.
Since the year of 2000, only 16 singles have ever achieved this feat which include Gaga’s "PokerFace" and "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas.
This new comes just weeks after it was confirmed that her album ‘21′ was the first album to also shift a million units this year and has now sold a total of 2.6 million copies.
This led to her debut album ‘19′ shifting a further 800,000 copies this year alone even without a single promotional effort behind it.

Pia Toscano Signs With Interscope Records
The ninth-place Idol finalist has signed to Interscope Records, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and will release the Ester Dean penned/co-produced debut single, "This Time," on July 12. She's also slotted to perform the song as part of the summer's American Idol Love! Tour.
As for its sound, Toscano told PEOPLE earlier this year, "It's definitely going to be big ballads, but there's also going to be those fun up-tempo songs, those dancing songs."
"I feel like on the show people really only saw me in one way," she continued at the time, "and I want to show the world that I can do other things."
"I am thrilled to be joining the Interscope and 19 Recordings family," Toscano said in a statement released Tuesday. "[Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman] Jimmy Iovine was an amazing mentor during my time on Idol ... This is a dream come true."

The single is said to be titled "Let Me Go" and written by Ester Dean and produced by StarGate.

Beyonce's '4' Set For No. 1 Debut On Billboard With Sales Of...
Set to be this week’s Billboard 200 No.1, the album received an enormous promotional push in the U.S. this week after the airing of the documentary ’Year Of 4′ and show stopping performances at the Glastonbury Festival, ‘Good Morning America’ and last night at the Statue Of Liberty for the 4th Of July celebrations.
With the final sales number set to surface tomorrow, the figure is sure to be very close in appearance to the figure published by Hits Daily Double.
Whilst 313,000 units may not sound as high as you would expect, it was achieved after only two weeks of promotion, without the aid of a No.1 single and discounted prices.

"It's official.. Madonna's 1st day in the recording studio for the new album... Very exciting.. Happy 4th of july..." Oseary wrote on Twitter on Monday (July 4).
Shortly after Oseary announced the news on Twitter, another veteran pop star, Kylie Minogue, retweeted the post with her own "Yaayyyy!!!" added on.
Madonna responded to Minogue on Twitter through Oseary's account, writing, "Thanks for the love. -M"

Ke$ha Unveils New Sound For Upcoming Album
Speaking to DigitalSpy, she revealed:
“I’ve been listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and probably the one CD I haven’t taken out of my record player in a long time is Iggy Pop’s The Idiot.”
She went onto reveal, “I’ve been pretty much in this ’70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is, and that’s just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f**k, so we’ll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it.”

“It won’t be a big production. I want it to be quite acoustic and piano-led. I want to write it, record it, produce it all and master it on my own. I think it’ll take a lot longer because I want to do it this way. When I move house in the summer, my sound engineer is going to come and help me install a studio and teach me how to use it.”

Beyoncé previously topped the U.K. album chart with her solo debut "Dangerously In Love" in 2003, but fell short with "B'Day" (No. 3 in 2006), and "I Am...Sasha Fierce" (No. 2 in 2009).
On the singles top 75, "Run The World (Girls)" climbed 39-23, "Irreplaceable" re-entered at No. 33, "Halo" at No. 60 and "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" at No. 72. "End of Time" debuted at No. 62.

Although the original right-hand woman is not too happy about it, and reveals:
"Well, let's just say feathers will fly if Mariah takes my spot. Although she is a mega diva vocally, you can expect another 'X Factor' USA drama. I won't just roll over and take it. I hope she can run in high heels."

Madonna Starts Work On New Studio Album
According to Madonna's long term manager and long-time business partner Guy Oseary Madonna has officially hit the studio today, he revealed the news on twitter, tweeting,
"It's official... Madonna's 1st day in the recording studio for the new album... Very exciting.."
Apparently Madonna has taken so long to get back to the music because she was working on her clothes line and a movie but her time away gave her time to focus on exactly who she wanted to collaborate and work with on the new project.
Madonna is one to go with the trends so we can probably expect some epic dance/dub step beats from her new era. Are you excited?

Pink Was "Looking Forward" To Experiencing Natural Birth
“We watched Ricki Lake‘s documentary The Business of Being Born early on. It was so enlightening and empowering,” the new mom tells PEOPLE.
“We took all kinds of classes and decided to work with midwives at The Sanctuary … I was really looking forward to the whole rite of passage — giving birth perfectly present, unmedicated, in the way nature intended.”
However, that was before daughter Willow Sage made her own agenda known, arriving on June 2 via a Cesarean section following two nights of labor.
“She was in the frank breech position, which is head up with her legs up by her head in a pike position. We tried everything to turn her around,” Pink, 31, reveals. “Turns out this little girl had other plans — she is my daughter, after all.”

Katy Perry Shows Off New Copper Hair Color In Canada
The singer, 26, showed off her dramatic hair change during a promotional appearance for her first fragrance, "Purr" in Canada on Thursday where she posed on the purple carpet in a demure lilac knit cardigan and skirt by Dior, paired with purple Miu Miu peep-toe pumps and yes, cat ears.
Earlier this month she hinted via Twitter about switching up her hair color: "Tonight I dye my hair a different color. Can you guess which color?" she asked her followers June 16.
The next day, the pop star tweeted, "So I didn't get to the exact color I wanted from being black for so long! To get to goal I have to be a ginger for three weeks!"
"If I don't wait three weeks, I'll end up with no hair or a pixie '90s cut with a barette in the front. It's okay, I'll get to my secret color(s) soon!" said her following tweet.

Beyonce Breaks New Glastonbury Festival Record
This time, at the Glastonbury Festival, where she performed at last week.
In a survey carried out by Digital Spy, the entertainer was named Glastonbury’s favorite act by the festival’s viewers.
Making her the only female artist in the history of the event to achieve this feat adding to the record she holds for being the first female artist to headline the world renowned festival.
Nabbing a commendable 43.6% of the vote, the "Single Ladies" performer beat rock legends ColdPlay and U2 to the top post.

David Guetta's new album "Nothing But The Beat" (August 30) will have two songs with Nicki. The second is titled "Turn me On," David revealed.
"I am so proud of what Nicki did on this record because we know her for those crazy raps but the other record that we have, she is singing like—oh man. The world is gonna be shocked. Because they don’t know her like this, and we came up with that amazing song and she just killed it."

Hackers Take Over Amy Winehouse's Site
SwagSec still maintains control of AmyWinehouse.com, as her people likely struggle to regain the network.
"Swagger Security -- Winehouse = No Swag" reads the page in flashing colors, along with an all-caps, profanity-laden rant about taking "back the internet from the white devil," which they say includes Winehouse, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Bill O'Reilly.
According to their rant, their plan is to "take back the Internet from the white devil," and so far their plan has worked. Her network has yet to restore AmyWinehouse.com to its former glory. It's still flashing with their spam!
