Britney Spears Opens Up About How She Now Handles Fame & The Press

In her interview with V Magazine, Britney Spears opened up about the price fame at such a young age had on her, the things written about her in the press, and how she deals with it differently now that she has her children.

"I'm past all of that. I try to block it all out and not pay attention to anything they write about me in the magazines or online. I'm done with that. I have learned to always stay true to myself and never let what other people say about me change who I am.

"It's a really important lesson that took me a long time to learn. I think it's easier to let people in when you're younger, but when I became a mother I wanted more privacy for myself and my children. A life away from my life.

"I don't think I thought about 'fame' when I was a child. I knew I wanted to perform and I knew I wanted to be on stage but I don't think I ever thought about fame or what comes with being famous. If not [her being destined to become famous], then God definitely has a strange sense of humor."

Courtney Love To Pay $430,000 To Settle Twitter Lawsuit

Courtney Love has settled the lawsuit brought against her by a fashion designer who claims she was defamed in a series of messages posted on Twitter.

The settlement with Dawn Simorangkir (aka the "Boudior Queen"), which sources say is being finalized today and will be announced next week, will cost Love about $430,000. The first payment of cash is due today, followed by a series of payments to Simorangkir stretched out until 2014.

The settlement ends a case that was watched as closely for the unique legal issues in play as the often-erratic behavior of the defendant.

Simorangkir, who became embroiled in a dispute with Love over a $4000 payment for clothing, accused the Hole frontwoman of ruining her business with a series of allegedly defamatory tweets posted during a 20 minute rant in 2009.

Rihanna Poses Topless For Nivea Campaign

Rihanna has stripped down as the latest face of Nivea cosmetics: a topless shot of the pop star, who will help spearhead the brand's 100-year anniversary as the spokesperson for its '100 Years of Skincare for Life' campaign, was released yesterday.

"Over the past 100 years, Niva has been an iconic skincare brand across the world. Rihanna is a music icon and her digital footprint will help us bring our anniversary celebration to consumers wherever they are," says Markus Pinger, member of the Nivea board, in a statement.

The official campaign will launch in May, just as Rihanna is preparing to embark on her Nivea-sponsored Loud tour, which kicks off June 4th in Baltimore.

The elegant look in the Nivea photo strikes a different chord than Rihanna's sexually charged get-ups in the music video for "S&M." The racy single jumps two spots to No. 5 on this week's Hot 100, giving the singer her 13th top five hit on the chart.
