Sneak Peek: Britney Spears - "Hold It Against Me" Teaser No. 4

Christina Aguilera And Fellow DIVAS Honor Aretha Franklin

Despite her football fumble while singing 'The Star Spangled Banner' at the Super Bowl, Christina Aguilera has been confirmed as the opening performer at the Grammys this Sunday, alongside Jennifer Hudson and three as of yet unnamed artists from different genres - all in a medley that pays tribute to Aretha Franklin!

And the guessing game begins! We are hoping for possible appearances from possibly Mariah, Pink, Whitney, Celine, Mary J. or maybe even Adele?

Franklin is also expected to make an appearance on stage to downplay reports she's suffering from pancreatic cancer.

What three DIVAS would you like to see added to the roster?

Fergie Admits Halftime Performance Was "Pitchy," Defends Christina Aguilera

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie took some heat for her group's Super Bowl halftime show Sunday (one critic wrote "the group appeared to be as stiff as frontman will.i.am's plastic hair hat.")

And even she admits her performance wasn't perfect.

"Some of my notes were pitchy to me,"
she said Monday on Dan Patrick's radio show, according to USA Today. Still, she said, "It was so exhilarating. The whole thing. it was so big. That's a once-in-a-lifetime thing."

She also defended Christina Aguilera, who flubbed lines while performing the National Anthem.

"It's such a huge venue, your nerves take a hold of you," said Fergie. "I completely understand. She's one of the best singers of our time. Nobody can take that away from you. ... But you get nervous at these things. We're human."

Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" Single Coming Friday

Lady Gaga announced at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve that her next single, "Born This Way," would debut on Feb. 13, but fans might just get to hear it two days earlier than expected. "Can't wait any longer, single coming Friday," the pop star wrote on Twitter this morning (Feb. 7th).

Gaga is clearly anxious for the world to experience her latest pop opus: last month, she personally leaked the song's lyrics and credits on Twitter as a thank-you to her fans.

DJ White Shadow, who is listed as the single's producer along with Gaga and Fernando Garibay, told Billboard.com last Wednesday (Feb. 2) that the song was recorded "around the world" and that it "sounds like it reads, but not like you think until you hear it."

Whether or not the single debuts before the weekend, Lady Gaga is still scheduled to perform the first single from sophomore album "Born This Way," due out May 23, at the Grammy awards ceremony on Sunday (Feb. 13).

Katy Perry Playing Smurfette In Upcoming 'Smurfs' Movie

Katy Perry says she felt like a natural doing the voice of "Smurfette" in the upcoming movie about the blue creatures. That's because she feels like a cartoon character in real life.

"The Smurfs movie was really fun for me cause a lot of times, you know, 360 days out of the year I feel like a cartoon. So I thought playing a cartoon was a natural thing to do," the singer said Saturday at the launch of her new perfume, "Purr," in Mexico City.

"With 'The Smurfs' I get to walk into the studio and I can be in my pajamas and I make a really cute little voice, which is kind of a mixture of my voice and a little voice," she said.

The Grammy-nominated pop star will also take on a more grown-up acting role as a guest star on an episode of the CBS comedy hit "How I Met Your Mother."

Christina Aguilera Defends Super Bowl National Anthem Flub

Christina Aguilera rushed to defend herself after messing up a line while performing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday.

The pop singer said she got lost in the moment -- and lost her place in the song.

"I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through," she told the Associated Press in a statement.

Aguilera, who sang The Star Spangled Banner ahead of the start of Super Bowl XLV in Arlington, Texas, mistakenly repeated a phrase early in the song.

Instead of singing "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?" the pop star sang "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last gleaming?" (changing "hailed" to "watched" the second time around).

Jessie J Earns No. 1 U.K. Single With "Price Tag"

British pop-R&B breakthrough artist Jessie J scored her first U.K. No. 1 single yesterday as "Price Tag" (Lava/Universal Island), featuring B.o.B, debuted at the top.

Adele's "21" (XL Recordings) started a second week atop the album chart.

Jessie J will be the recipient of the Critics' Choice title at the BRIT Awards in London Feb. 15, and the single success is an early vindication of the new cross-industry "on air, on sale" initiative, under which labels are committing to make more tracks available for official download around the same time they go to radio.

Her debut hit "Do It Like A Dude," which reached No. 2 last month, has sales in excess of 300,000 units, according to the Official Charts Company, and is still in the top 10 at No. 7.

David LaChapelle Accuses Rihanna Of Ripping Him Off For “S&M” Video

Rihanna’s "S&M” music video has stirred up more controversy than just being banned for it’s supposedly explicit nature — it’s also been accused off ripping of famed pop culture artist David LaChapelle.

The resemblance between the cartoonish clip and LaChapelle’s work is undeniable, and various media outlets have been piecing together comparison shots with screen caps from the video being put up next to LaChapelle’s various photography.

Well, LaChapelle has seen the video, and he’s not happy, Tweeting both Rihanna and her “S&M” co-star Perez Hilton about it before quickly deleting the Tweet from his account.

“@PerezHilton @rihanna The next time you make a David LaChapelle music video you should probably hire David LaChapelle.”

Janet Jackson’s Choreographer Responds To Fan Criticism

Despite kicking off to a great start, Janet Jackson’s ‘Up, Close, & Personal Tour’ has attracted critique from some of her fans.

The tour’s lead choreographer Gil Duldulao wrote an open letter to fans:

Dear fans,

Of course after the opening I was expecting lots of opinions. The initial talks of an up close and personal tour was janet’s feeling to how she did radio city music hall. She enjoyed herself being up close and in intimate settings and wanted to bring it to the fans. So this is why she is on this tour.

Why spend money on new everything when u have a show up and running and its an intimate setting? Its to celebrate her and her number one songs. Well why is it the same set list? I’m not a musician nor do I hear what her or the musical director is hearing.

Britney Spears Album "Not Done" Yet!

'Femme Fatale,' Britney Spears' seventh studio album, has a lead single that has topped the Hot 100, official album artwork, and a Mar. 15th release date that is slowly approaching.

However, executive producer Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, tells 'Rolling Stone' that he and a band of A-list producers are still finalizing the follow-up to 2008's "Circus."

"It's not done," says Dr. Luke, who helmed lead single "Hold It Against Me" along with the album's co-executive producer Max Martin and Billboard (who is a producer).

"We're in the middle of it right now. It's a little bit fluid right now. I can't even say at this stage what songs for sure are making it and what songs aren't. We're working with a lot of producers and overseeing it with her A&R and record label and management and trying to make something cohesive."

Even the Black Eyed Peas are protecting their Super Bowl playbook.

"We're not allowed to give away the set list, but it will be packed with energy - what the Black Eyed Peas bring," said band member Fergie at a news conference Thursday.

The band said they are excited and honored to give the halftime performance during Sunday's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers.

"We want everybody to have a good time and just dance, party,"
will.i.am said about the performance that's expected to include R&B star Usher and former Guns 'N Roses guitarist Slash.

"Sunday football is a serious day in our homes,"
said Fergie, who is a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins. "Super Bowl Sunday is the day that I can go all out - cheat - eat the seven-layer dip, all the Italian food and scream at everybody."

Britney Spear’s Team Promise Big Promo For ‘Femme Fatale’ Release

There’s been some concerns over the lack of promotion surrounding Britney Spears‘ upcoming album 'Femme Fatale,' with the DIVAS presence being so scarce that she hasn’t even provided updates on her own music herself to her friends 'Rolling Stone' or other major publications like Billboard, leaving her tight team of managers and producers to do the speaking for her.

Luckily, it seems that the 'Femme Fatale’s' plan of attack is to lay low and then surprise everybody with her presence closer to her album’s March release date.

“Britney will be doing promo for her upcoming album!” wrote exclamation king Perez Hilton. “And there will be some announcements made about that soon. Spears WILL be performing on television! She WILL be doing magazine covers and interviews. And much more!

“Brit’s managers promise that you’re going to be seeing A LOT of Britney – and everywhere.”

Rihanna’s “S&M” Music Video Deemed Too Racy For T.V.

The censors have deemed Rihanna’s new “S&M” video too hot for TV, and has reportedly been banned in 11 countries.

An age-restriction has been put on the video on Youtube, MTV are considering re-editing it for TV, and BBC have also banned it from being played during the daytime.

The video features Rihanna sucking on a banana, getting saucy with a blow-up doll and leading celebrity blogger Perez Hilton around on a dog’s leash. The video was very tongue in cheek and fun but not pornographic.

Bit harsh, isn’t it? Beyonce’s “Video Phone” was far worse, as are most rap & R&B music videos. Ciara also received an unfair banning when her “Ride” video was pulled from BET.

Did Britney Spears Use A Dance-Double For 'Hold It Against Me' Video?

Multiple sources on Britney Spears' music video set are stating that Jonas Akerlund, the director, was upset that Britney couldn't keep up with the intense dance choreography, that he asked her dance-double, Allison Kyler, to fill in.

It was also said that things got so heated between Britney and the director the singer left the set crying on the second day.

Britney's camp denies it and tells TMZ, "The accusations could not be further from the truth. Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shooting."

The rep adds,  Brit and Jonas got along great, and "Fans will see how inaccurate these claims are once they see the video."

Jonas stated, "[Britney's] been great throughout the entire process. At the end of the shoot I got the warmest hug I ever got from an artist, and I look forward to hugging her again very soon!" Jonas adds, "I've been around long enough to know when an artist gives it their all, and to me It doesn't get better than this."
