Taylor Swift Already Has the Perfect Holiday Gift!
What makes Taylor Swift feel all jingle-belly inside? Couples in love, warm sweaters – and her eight Grammy nominations.
"This is my favorite time of year. Hands down," Swift, 19, writes on her MySpace blog.
The country singer – who's been coy about rumors of her own romantic life lately – says that holiday decorations have always made the main street of her hometown of Nashville seem "perfect and welcoming." But what sticks with her most are the couples going out to dinner.
"I love everything about this time of year, but mostly the way that people find ways to be with the ones they love," she writes. "And I love sweaters. Everyone is wearing sweaters right now."
Soon enough, she'll be able to ogle the tinsel in New York City, where she'll be playing the Z100 Jingle Ball on Friday. As for how she'll spend her time, expect her to be "Just wandering around looking up at the sparkly store displays and stuff," she writes.
With a lot to be thankful for this holiday season, Swift already feels like she’s been given the best gift of all: eight Grammy nominations.
Writing about calling her producer when the Grammy news broke, she says: "I remember calling him and hearing the screaming voices of the drummer and the bass player and the mixers and publishers who helped put this album together. He put me on speakerphone, and we all screamed together. I couldn't stop saying 'I love you' to them, just like I can't stop saying 'I love you' to you."
She adds: "At the end of the phone call, I said to them 'Please, never forget tonight. This night is a gift we never thought we'd get.' And then, of course, 'I love you so much!!!' "

Madonna To Adopt Another Child Again?
Madonna has two children from Malawi, son David Banda and daughter Mercy, as well as Rocco, from her marriage to Guy Ritchie, and Lourdes, from her previous relationship with fitness trainer Carlos Leon.Asked if she would adopt again, she said: "Never say never."
Referring to her charity work in Malawi, she said: "I'm really proud of the work that I'm doing in Africa. I feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment in terms of my career and the work that I have done.
"I have four children now and I'd like to think I'm a good mother. I feel a great sense of satisfaction in all areas of my life."
The singer relocated to New York following the break-up of her eight-year marriage to Ritchie. When she lived in the UK, she embraced British life by professing a love for drinking pints of bitter, and frequently spent evenings in Ritchie's Mayfair pub.
However, asked on GMTV if she missed British pubs, she replied tersely: "No."
She did admit to missing some things about British life. "I miss being able to walk around my neighbourhood. It's much more mellow and laid-back and relaxed than Manhattan."
Asked about her notoriously gruelling fitness regime, she said: "It's for health reasons, and for aesthetic reasons. If I have to go out on stage and jump around in a pair of hotpants, I have to look good."

Carrie Underwood: Holiday Variety Special A Dream Come True!
Carrie Underwood has plenty to be thankful for this holiday season. She recently hosted the CMA Awards, released her third CD, Play On, and just wrapped up her variety special Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special. "It was a lot of fun to tape and I think we ended up with a great show," Underwood says of her very own two-hour special.
The singer, 26, teams up with an impressive list of stars on her show (airing Dec. 7 on FOX at 8 p.m. ET), including her CMA Awards co-host Brad Paisley, Kristin Chenoweth, David Cook and country legend Dolly Parton.
"It was a dream come true," Underwood says of getting to working with Parton. It was "such a special moment for me in the show to be able to perform with her."
But on Christmas day you won't find this Oklahoma native on any sound stage – she'll be home for the holidays.
"We are together and that's the most important thing," says Underwood of spending time with her family, adding, "My mom always makes a broccoli cheese casserole and potato casserole. I just love food!"

Rihanna's MySpace Performance In New York City
Rihanna performed at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom Thursday night (Dec. 3) as part of MySpace's urban music concert series, "The Release," in celebration of her new album, "Rated R." But the festivities were rather short, with Rihanna -- who hit the stage over an hour late -- performing under ten tracks in 30 minutes for her eager fans.Sponsored by JetBlue, Barbados Tourism, Coca Cola and New York radio station Hot 97 (WQHT) and streamed live on MySpace, the event took off at around 7:30pm EST with Hot 97 DJs Kast One and Enuff on the turntables. A little under two hours later the station's own Angie Martinez took the stage to finally introduce the Barbadian singer.
Sporting a silver leotard with metallic embellishments and black leather gloves, and backed by a six-piece band, Rihanna came on stage with two back-up singers dressed in all black unitards.
The stage was decorated with lit-up square boxes of different sizes that simulated TV sets and nude mannequins throughout. The backdrop had a screen displaying paparazzi-like photographs and videos taken of Rihanna.
"New York! MySpace!" Rihanna howled in her island twang as the synth-heavy beat to "Wait Your Turn" came on. Rihanna then took a seat on a plush, white revolving couch for the morbid "Russian Roulette."
She quickly changed gears with the uptempo dance track "Don't Stop The Music," flirtatiously dancing with and fondling a dummy on the left side of the stage -- where Def Jam executives L.A. Reid and DJ Khaled looked over from a balcony. Ryan Leslie was also in attendance.
"New York City! Everybody at home watching on MySpace, we're about to get this party started. Y'all ready to party?" Rihanna asked the wound up crowd, who responded with screeching "Yeah"s. Rihanna then took a seat on one of the makeshift television sets and was accompanied by her two back-up dancers for "Take A Bow" before performing the Chris Brown-penned "Disturbia."
A medley of "So Hard," "Live Your Life" and "Run This Town" were performed next without the songs' featured rappers (Young Jeezy, T.I., Kanye West and Jay-Z, respectively). But first, Rihanna made a costume change -- an unexpected move, considering the set was so brief. She got rid of the metallic pieces on her outfit and rearranged her gear by adding a black sleeveless vest over her silver one-piece.
"New York City, we're going to take it back just a little bit," she announced as the chart-topping "Umbrella," the night's closer, came on with sporadic audience members opening their own umbrellas in honor of the song.
"Thank you so much. I love you!" Rihanna told her fans as she walked off the stage prematurely, leaving most thirsting for more.

Kelly Roland Furious With Mathew And Beyonce Knowles For Lawsuit.
Kelly Rowland is furious that she, Beyoncé and Michelle Williams have to head to Chicago on Tuesday for a lawsuit regarding copyright infringement. Flip the top back for more details. The group will be facing a copyright infringement lawsuit for their song “Cater 2 U.”
According to a source, Rowland blames the legal mess on Beyoncé’s father Mathew and his sneaky tactics for lining his daughter’s pockets with cash.
Apparently, Mathew has a long history of trying to get songwriters to add Beyoncé’s name to songs she didn’t compose, just so she gets publishing royalties, and now it’s coming back to haunt him.
Kelly who at one point was cordial with Beyonce has since distanced herself from the Knowles family making things very tense. We have a feeling this could get real ugly.

Whitney Houston's Grammy Snub Irks Producers, Friends
Whitney Houston's comeback album, "I Look To You," may have debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, but it wasn't enough of a feat to garner a single Grammy nod this year. In a surprising omission, Houston received no nominations at this week's Grammy Nominations Concert Live! for the highly-rated album, her fourth No. 1 set which sold 305,000 copies in its first week alone (818,000 so far), according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Producer Danja, who helmed two tracks for "I Look to You" -- "For The Lovers" and "Nothin' But Love" -- feels let down by the Grammy snub. "I'm a little disappointed because she put together a classic album. Her overall comeback is something to be noted but I'm a believer that great people and great music will always show its head," he told Billboard.com.
In spite of the Houston disappointment, Danja, who worked on Pink and Keri Hilson's albums -- both multiple nominees -- is excited about being acknowledged for those projects this year.
"It's always a pleasant surprise to receive a nomination. Of course we want to win, but being recognized is plenty after all the hard work we put into producing great music," he says. "Both Keri and Pink are two very special projects to me and I'm excited for them both."
"I Look To You" marks Houston's best opening sales week since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking data in 1991 (her previous best opening week since that year came when 2002's "Just Whitney" bowed at No. 9 in the thick of the Christmas holiday shopping season with 205,000.)
Singles "I Look To You" and "Million Dollar Bill" both reached No. 19 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Beyonce Takes Some Much Needed Time Off!
Beyonce hopes to reorganise her hectic work schedule and take some time off in the spring (10) to make the most of the culture available in the Big Apple, where she lives with her rapper husband Jay-Z.But Beyonce won't be spending all her down time at home - she is also looking forward to travelling the world without her entourage and go sightseeing on her own.
She says, "I usually know what I'm going to do within a year. I have the next year planned out. But for the first time ever, after a couple of dates in February and a couple of award shows, I promised myself that that it's time to smell the roses. I'm going to take - hopefully - a couple of months off. I'm not going to plan anything.
"I'll perhaps take some art classes, I'll visit some museums and I'll check out some shows on Broadway. I'd like to travel somewhere - maybe back to Egypt - without anyone, without any security, and focus on things I've always wanted to do myself."

"I honestly never would have predicted this, eight nominations – I'm ecstatic, and blown away and so, so thankful."
With eight nods, Swift was second only to Beyoncé, who had 10, and ahead of Lady Gaga, with five. Swift is up for album of the year for Fearless, as well as song, record and country album of the year.
The soon-to-be birthday girl was in an Los Angeles hotel room with her mom editing home videos when her producer texted her the news: "AAUUGGH!!!!!"
"To be recognized by the Grammys is the ultimate honor, and all I know is that when I write about this in my journal tonight it will be in all capital letters and underlined four times, and there will be lots of exclamation points in this entry because I never imagined I'd get to write this kind of journal entry," Swift says.
Swift's been nominated before, but never won. She finds out if she'll take a statuette home on Jan. 31st.
"The thought of that absolutely is something that you daydream about," she says.

Keyshia Cole Is Having A Baby?!
Keyshia Cole is going to be a mommy and so is another of her new-found sisters!A source close to the singer told S2S that Keyshia is expecting and the baby is due in March. There’s no word on what the baby’s gender is at this time.
This news confirms rumors that Keyshia is pregnant. She’s also been spotted several places sporting a prominent baby bump. Most recently she was seen courtside at a Cleveland Cavaliers game cheering on her man, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson.
Although, the couple is having a baby together, they’re not planning to jump the broom just yet. Put simply: Daniel hasn’t put a ring on it yet.
That isn’t the only new addition to Keyshia’s family, though. We found out that Frankie has located another of her long-lost children, a 17-year-old daughter, who is also expecting.
Whether we’ll get to meet the new sister on “Frankie and Neffe” is up in the air. We’re told that a second season of the BET reality spin-off won’t be green lit until Frankie changes her ways. Specifically, producers want her to act more professional and show up for shooting on time.

Christian Louboutin On Jennifer Lopez’s New Single
Despite seeing his elaborate heels on the feet of countless celebrities, Christian Louboutin’s icon status reached all new heights with the release of Jennifer Lopez’s new song, “Louboutins” from her upcoming Love? album. At the recent opening of his Miami boutique, Fashion Week Daily asked the French designer for his take on the single: “Jennifer told me about the song back in January, and I was extremely flattered,” he said.
“But of course, in America the public pronounces my name in like a million different ways. So Jennifer called me, and she was like, ‘Listen, I want to make sure that I get it right.’ And she did…from the very first time!”
According Louboutin, who claims to already know the song by heart, Lopez mentions his name 45 times (“Trust me, I’ve counted!”) in the three-plus-minute dance track.
We can’t wait to see what comes next in the Louboutin-J. Lo love fest: the stiletto master is hard at work creating shoes for the eponymous music video, set to film next month.

Can Lady Gaga Change The Way Best New Artist Grammy Is Chosen?
With only one day left before nominees are announced for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards, the industry is buzzing about who’ll make the cut – and why one of the year's biggest hitmakers is ineligible.Lady Gaga sold more than 1.5 million copies of The Fame, but the costumed diva won’t be recognized in the Best New Artist category due to her nomination in the Best Dance Recording category for "Just Dance" last year. However, we’ll most likely see her in the Album, Record or Song of the year categories.
Gaga’s exclusion mirrors last year’s snub of Jennifer Hudson in the same category due to her 2007 nomination in the Outstanding Motion Picture Soundtrack Compilation category for Dreamgirls.
Could it be time for the Grammys to consider changing their rules? "This particular issue in the Best New Artist category is on our radar and I would expect changes to address it in next year's voting," Grammy president Neil Portnow tells PEOPLE.
Other artists to watch this year include Taylor Swift, U2, Beyoncé, Maxwell, Green Day, the Black Eyed Peas, Keri Hilson and Kings of Leon.
But, don’t expect to see Michael Jackson as a major contender. Though he won big at the American Music Awards, the soundtrack for This Is It missed the Sept. 1 cutoff date. But, the release of Motown box set Hello World The Complete Motown Solo Collection could very well make the cut in historical categories.
