Katy Perry Bares Her Undies for Russell Brand

Thursday night, Katy Perry played the tease onstage by wearing underwear in the colors of his adored West Ham United soccer team.

But the racy dress-up didn't, ahem, end there. Perry, 25, also revealed the name "Rusty" – stitched in silver letters – on the back of her knickers. FYI: Rustyrockets is Brand's Twitter sign-on.

Brand, 34, clearly approved. "Wow," he Tweeted. "Now MY GIRLFRIEND has worn a West Ham basque while hosting the EMA's. What a day!"

He added: "Yes I will be taking her to a game – West Ham Vs Everton." That will take place on Sunday.

In the meantime, this may be the most public example yet of the couple's blossoming romance. Over the last month, they have hung out in Paris during fashion week and in London before they headed to Los Angeles.

The singer's tribute to Brand and West Ham was, in fact, one of her 12 costume changes during the awards show.

Not to be outdone, Beyoncé Knowles wore a racy red basque to perform at the show, where she also came out the night's top winner. Her three awards were for best song ("Halo"), best video (for "Single Ladies") and best female artist.

Australian Officials Target Britney Spears's Lip-Synching

Britney Spears just arrived in Australia on Thursday, but already she's the subject of government scrutiny – over whether concertgoers realize she'll be lip-synching portions of her concerts.

Virginia Judge, the Minister for Fair Trading for New South Wales (the Australian state that includes Sydney), said she is considering options to make sure fans aren't misled when buying tickets to Britney's Circus tour concerts. Some seats are going for more than $1,300.

"It is Britney's 'prerogative' to lip-sync, and it is my job to make sure consumers know what they are paying for up front," Judge said in a statement released by the government.

One idea is to require disclaimers on promotional materials and tickets indicating that portions of a show will be pre-recorded.

It's no secret that many artists, including Spears, lip-sync at times during their elaborate stage shows. And this Australian initiative may not have much effect on interest in Spears tickets, given that many of the shows Down Under are already sold out.

"Personally I would rather see a live set from a local artist," Judge said, "but I am sure Britney's fans will be treated to a spectacular show."

Madonna Takes Top Honors At Billboard Touring Awards

Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour was the big winner at the sixth annual Billboard Touring Awards.

Madonna took home honors for Top Tour and Top Draw, which acknowledge the highest-grossing and highest-attended tours of the year, respectively. Madonna's manager Guy Oseary won the Top Manager award.

The Billboard Touring Awards are based on worldwide data reported to Billboard Boxscore for the period Oct. 1, 2008, through Sept. 30, 2009.

Other winners include Kenny Chesney's Sun City Carnival tour for Chesney's sixth straight Top Package award; Ill Divo for the Breakthrough award, U2 for the Top Boxscore award for the band's shows at Croke Park in Dublin last July, and Dane Cook for the Top Comedy Tour award.

"Empire State Of Mind" Part II Will Be Feature In Alicia Keys New Album

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys couldn't contain their enthusiasm for New York to one song, so the pair have decided to team up again for a sequel to their hometown anthem.

Keys will include "Empire State of Mind Part 2" on her new album The Element of Freedom, which will be released next month. The sequel will feature a new verse from Jay Z, a rep for Keys confirmed to MTV News.

Keys said she felt honored that Jay asked her to be on the track. "Obviously, I'm very grateful to him for reaching out to me and for that type of ability to represent my hometown, like, that was crazy," she told MTV News. "So we went to the studio. I went to the studio, and ... I fell in love from the jump."

The Hype Williams-directed video for "Empire State of Mind" debuted last week, and Keys described it as a masterpiece. "The way it's put together, it is so New York. You totally get it and understand it. It's artistic. It's hard. It's beautiful. It's, like, everything," she said.

"And definitely getting to be in the middle of Times Square on my piano [with] Jay, representing our home city, is a triumph. It was unbelievable."

Bette Midler To End Las Vegas Show

Singer Bette Midler will end a nearly two-year concert run in Las Vegas this coming January, her representatives said on Thursday.

Midler's "The Showgirl Must Go On" began in February 2008 amid great media attention at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace hotel and casino, and it will end on January 31, 2010, after about 180 performances.

"What a fabulous two years this has been," Midler said in a statement, adding that she is ending her Las Vegas residency to record an album of love songs.

Heidi Fires Back At Sugababe's Critics

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1, Sugababe Heidi Range fired back at the doubtful critics of the group’s chances of success following the ousting of orginal member Keisha Buchanan back in September. Range, 26, said:

“I don’t want to sound like I’m being bigheaded but the Sugababes had one album which didn’t sell and they were dropped,” she says, sounding not so much bigheaded as just plain mean.

“I joined eight years ago and we were signed together by Island Records. I’ve been there since our first number one Freak Like Me and been part of the history of the band ever since. Amelle has been in the group for over four years and she’s been part of our biggest album as a group.

"I think it’s unfair. That’s not disrespecting what previous members have brought to the group, but we were signed as Sugababes to Island Records and I’m still signed to Island Records as Sugababes.”

Lady Gaga Talks About Gossip Girl Role

Lady Gaga will be guest starring in the new episode of Gossip Girl airing on November 16th. In a recent interview, she spilled the details of her Gossip Girl role where she said she wants to different and be there and not just perform:

"I hate TV series performances, because they kind of come in out of nowhere, and everyone's, like, really into the story, and then all of a sudden somebody breaks into song. And it has nothing to do with the storyline, and then it screws everything up.

"I really sat down with the writers. I was like, 'Look, I want to do this, and the reason I want to do this is because I am trying to say something that is not mainstream in a mainstream capacity. So, if I can say it on your show, that would be, like, a real coup d'état for me as a performance artist.'"

What came of this meeting and the final product, GaGa confesses, is more of an elaborate music video, rather than musical sequence:

"I am the narrator behind what is going on with the characters and make the song part of the moment," she explained about the "crazy performance-art piece."

"We used these ladders, and I'm falling off ladders. Ladders are kind of a monster symbol about bad luck. And I have this 35-foot-long dress on and these X's, very gothic-inspired. It was great. They let me do whatever the hell I wanted. It was amazing."

Between this and the 3some that will be happening next Monday night, Gossip Girl seems like it will be a must see!

Britney Spears Lands Down Under

The kangaroos have a new reason to jump: Britney Spears has landed in Australia.

"Longest flight ever but we had a great time ... So excited to be here," the pop star, 27, Tweeted upon landing in Sydney just after 6 a.m. Thursday morning.

Spears then promptly boarded another jet, a private one this time, to head across the continent for Perth, where she will perform the first concert of her 15-show Circus tour in the country on Friday.

This being Britney Spears, she has already brought controversy with her. She's getting criticism in the Australian media for lip-synching much of her shows while charging up to $1,360 for tickets.

And she didn't leave Los Angeles without causing one last American ruckus, either. On her way to catch the Australia flight, photographers caught her getting through security at LAX airport while sucking down a huge Big Gulp drink – a big no-no for any average Joe.

The media have also noted that she's bringing quite an entourage with her: 225 crew members, 45 band members and dancers, and 15 circus performers travel with her for the concert, along with the 150 local workers the tour hires in each city it performs in.

Heidi Klum is returning to the runway just 6 weeks after giving birth to baby Lou Samuel — as host of the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show on Nov. 19th.

“Heidi is superwoman. She had a baby a few weeks ago and she is hosting the most high profile fashion show in the world,” Ed Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer of VS stated.

“Victoria’s Secret is thrilled to have her back. There is no one like her.” Klum played coy about preparing for the show, which airs Dec. 1st at 10pm on CBS, saying she planned “to take it easy and see what happens,” after delivering Lou, her daughter with Seal — and her fourth child — last month.

Still, her fellow Angels aren’t surprised to see Heidi back to work. “She can do it all,” says fellow Angel (and new mom) Alessandra Ambrosio.

“She’s a great mom and she’s got so much going on. She’s an inspiration.” We can’t wait to see Heidi and all of the Angels, including Marisa Miller in this year’s diamond bra, work the runway.

Beyonce To Play At The 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards

Beyonce is the latest artist announced to play live at the MTV EMAs this Thursday November 5th.

She’ll close the awards extravaganza when it takes place in Berlin, before MTV shows the premiere of her new video for her single "Video Phone" - which also stars Lady GaGa.

Beyonce is nominated for four awards at the EMAs- "Best Song," "Best Video," "Best Live Act" and "Best Female."

Acts already set to perform are Green Day, Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Leona Lewis and Tokio Hotel.

Also confirmed today to give out awards are actor Jesse Metcalfe, Baywatch legend David Hasslehoff, rapper Lil Kim and boxer Wladimir Klitschko.

Watch the EMAs on MTV from 9pm on November 5th.

Rihanna To Perform At The American Music Awards

Rihanna will perform at the 37th Annual American Music Awards on Nov. 22nd on ABC, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

She will join previously announced performers Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and the Black Eyed Peas.

A three-time AMA winner, Rihanna last appeared on the AMA stage in 2008 performing "Rehab," and in 2007, she showed off "Hate That I Love You" with Ne-Yo and her hit "Umbrella."

This year's nominees are led by Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson, and also include Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Kings of Leon, Eminem and T.I.

Rihanna, who recently released the power ballad "Russian Roulette," will drop her fourth album, Rated R, on Nov. 23rd.

Golden Girl Hospitalised After Cardiac Illness

The Golden Girls actress Rue McClanahan has been hospitalised after suffering from acute cardiac illness.

The news means that an event honoring the Emmy Award-winning actress has been canceled.

According to Advocate.com, Golden: A Gala Tribute to Rue McClanahan was to take place on November 14th, at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.

"My darlings, I'm just devastated that I am going to have to miss my own tribute at the Castro Theatre," she said in a statement on Wednesday from her hospital room.

"Unfortunately, my doctor has laid down the law, and I'm currently having some maintenance on the old ticker. Trust me, I'd much rather be in San Francisco having fun and being adored by all of you."

Gala organizer Marc Huestis wished McClanahan a speedy recovery and suggested that the event may be postponed to a later date.

Cheryl Cole Signs U.S. Record Deal

Cheryl Cole has reportedly signed a deal to release her solo album 3 Words in the United States.

The record, which is currently at number one in the UK, is expected to be released through Interscope early next year.

According to the News Of The World, Cole will release her collaboration with Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, '3 Words', as the first single Stateside.

"The Interscope deal is huge for Cheryl, especially as Girls Aloud have never released a single there," a source told the newspaper.

Interscope Records, which is owned by Universal Music Group, is home to acts including Black Eyed Peas, Enrique Iglesias, Lady GaGa and Pussycat Dolls.

Cole's debut solo single "Fight For This Love" became the fastest-selling single of the year in the UK after shifting over 290,000 copies in its first week.

Josh & Fergie Have A Date Night In Atlanta

Josh Duhamel and wife Fergie, battling allegations of discord in their marriage, spent a cozy night out in Atlanta on Tuesday.

The couple have denied claims made by stripper Nicole Forrester that she had a one-night stand with Duhamel in Atlanta on Oct. 9th. Showing that they're still very much together, Duhamel and Fergie dined at Chops restaurant located next door to the St. Regis Hotel, where Forrester claims the tryst took place.

Around 10 p.m., Fergie and Duhamel – who's in town filming Life As We Know It – walked into the restaurant. Over dinner of steak, lobster and a bottle of Chardonnay "they were snuggling up a little bit," according to Chops manager Kevin Brown. "They were sitting next to each other in a booth side by side and talking closely."

According to Brown, "We offered them a discreet table [but] she said, 'I want to sit out where the action is.' "

The two, who stayed at the restaurant for about an hour, were dressed casually: Duhamel wore jeans and a sweat shirt, while his wife donned a black leather jacket and tight gray jeans.
