Rihanna Helps 5 Year Old Fan Look For Bone Marrow Donor

Rihanna is stepping forward to help a 5-year-old New York City girl find a bone marrow donor – the second time in a year that the Grammy Award winner has helped a leukemia victim seek a match.

"When I saw the video of Jasmina it broke my heart. It is so unfair that for a black patient it's so much harder to find a bone marrow match," the singer tells PEOPLE exclusively. "Jasmina has acute leukemia and she needs a bone marrow transplant to live."

Last February, Rihanna helped New Yorker Lisa Flynn find a match by putting out a call for donors on PEOPLE.com. "More than 5,000 donors came forward," says Katharina Harf of DKMS, the world's largest nonprofit marrow donor center, which is helping to find a match for Jasmina. "Rihanna has already helped DKMS save many lives," says Harf. "Now we can count on her again."

Rihanna was "very upset" when she learned about Jasmina Amena's struggle with an aggressive and rare form of leukemia, says Harf. "When Rihanna found out about Jasmina, she said, 'I absolutely have to help her.' She wanted to do whatever she could for this little girl. Rihanna loves children and no matter how busy she is, she takes time out of her schedule to help them."

Rihanna adds: "Leukemia is the most common disease children in the U.S. die of and we need to change that. I urge everyone to sign up as a bone marrow donor with DKMS. If we have more donors, we can save more children like Jasmina."

Kylie Minogue has been introduced to her new lover's family. The 'Wow' singer travelled to underwear model Andres Velencoso Segura's Spanish hometown of Tossa de Mar to meet his father and sister.

A source said: "Andres took her to meet his family, and they all got to know each other over dinner at his father's restaurant.

"It was a very romantic break - they were able to go for long walks along the beach together and Andres showed her many places from his childhood. This is his first serious relationship, and his family appreciate how much effort he is making with Kylie and were very welcoming."

Kylie and Andres, 30, began dating last year, and have since enjoyed a romantic ski break together in the French Alps. He is said to be spotted with the 40-year-old singer and has even decided to buy a London apartment so he can spend more time with her.

The tour, to promote her album Hard Candy, is the biggest grossing in history for a solo artist.

Madonna has visited Europe and both North and South America since kicking off the tour at Cardiff's Millennium stadium in August last year.

Jennifer Hudson's Surprise Duet At Grammy Party

Following her rousing Super Bowl comeback appearance last Sunday, Jennifer Hudson is set to perform a "surprise duet" at a Grammy party honoring music exec Clive Davis this Saturday in Los Angeles.

"Very touchingly, [Hudson] called me when she read of my lifetime achievement award, [and said] that she wanted to be part of it, that she wanted to come back with her musical life, so, of course, that is touching," Davis tells the Associated Press.

Davis added that Hudson, 27, will also be performing a surprise duet "that people won't see elsewhere."

Etta James Speaks Up About Beyonce Bashing

Singer Etta James says she was only trying to get a laugh when she said she "can't stand" Beyoncé and made fun of President Obama's ears during a concert in Seattle.

James said she meant no harm when she poked fun at the President and ripped Beyoncé for her performance of James' hit "At Last" during the inauguration.

"I didn't really mean anything," James said. "Even as a little child, I've always had that comedian kind of attitude. ... That's probably what went into it."

Still, James acknowledged being miffed she wasn't invited to perform her signature song for Obama's first dance with his wife on inauguration night.

James said she was "feeling left out of something that was basically mine, that I had done every time you look around."

She said she liked Beyoncé's performance, but when asked if she thought she could have done better, James answered, "I think so. That's a shame to say that."

James said Thursday she kept the insults rolling only because the crowd was laughing so hard, a reaction that can be heard on a recording.

"Nobody was getting mad at me in Seattle," she said. "They were all laughing, and it was funny."

She said the jokes were "not from a vicious place."

Jessica Simpson's Concert Meltdown

Jessica Simpson had a very public meltdown last night during her concert in Grand Rapids.

It all started when her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, didn't show up for her gig after supposedly missing his flight.

During her song "With You," she stopped singing during the middle of her song. Apparently she needed a sip of water, so her backup singers took over the lead vocals for a bit.

During another song she began having issues with her ear monitors and seemed to have lost her place in several of her other songs. She also had to make her band start over again on one of them.

Later, when she started to introduce her closing song, she "talked about how she felt like walking off the stage." At the end she thanked her band for "having her back," and reportedly looked like she was wiping away some tears as she walked off.

Gwen's Harajuku Lovers "Killer" Hoodies!

Several hooded sweatshirts from Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers children's clothing line have been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission—and not because they are killer fashion in the good way.

The commission charges that "the jackets have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children," although no such incidents have been reported.

The voluntary recall suggests purchasers of the RSL Hoodie and Lovers Leopard styles trim off the ties or return them for a full, $75 refund. The jackets were sold in Macy's, Nordstrom and other retailers from August 2008 to January 2009.

There will be a sequel to the huge box office hit Sex and the City: The Movie, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and the film's writer-director Michael Patrick King all on board.

"I'm very excited to work with these amazing actresses again," King says, "and would love to give everyone more information about the sequel… but I'm busy with my Sex life."

During press appearances in London three months ago, Cattrall told reporters she was certain a sequel would happen. "The fans keep saying, 'Yes, one more,'" Cattrall said. "The movie was so much fun to do and be part of again. I hope we're going to do it again."

The second movie will be shooting this summer and due in theaters summer 2010.

Jet Company Allegedly Risked Beyonce’s Life!

Five executives of a luxury private jet company and a pilot were indicted in New Jersey federal court on charges that include recklessly endangering the lives of wealthy passengers by dangerously over-fueling charter jets operated by the firm.

Those passengers - who paid individual charter fees of up to $90,000 at times - included Beyonce, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Harvey Weinstein and renowned crime writer Patricia Cornwell, ABC News has learned.

According to a 23-count federal indictment, the executives and the pilot conspired to endanger their passengers’ lives by methods that included over-fueling their planes at airports where fuel costs were low and then attempting to take off, even though the planes’ weights exceeded “maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights” and shifted the aircrafts’ centers of gravity dangerously forward.

Global superstar Shakira was in her hometown of Barranquilla, Colombia, on Tuesday, attending a press conference at a new school she funded.

Her organization, The Barefoot Foundation, has just added a fifth school. The new facility will be able to serve over 1,500 students!

The school is located in one of the poorest communities and will set its focus on bilingual and art education.

The good humanitarian said, “This institution is a reflection of what we want to propose. Therefore I believe that society should ask its government to invest in education. A big part of why I am here is to draw attention to the issue of education."

How Britney And Kevin Will Share Custody On Tour?

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are close to finalizing a custody arrangement allowing them both time to spend with their sons during Spears's tour.

Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said an agreement can be reached in "probably the next day." Spears already has said sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, would be joining her on the road when her two-month Circus tour kicks off on March 3 in New Orleans.

Spears will probably see her boys on "pretty much the same schedule that she has now," Kaplan states. (Federline, 30, has primary custody of the boys, but Spears, 27, has nearly 50-50 access to them in visitation rights.)

"Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various central locations in various areas of the country," says Kaplan. "He is doing that because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful."

Rihanna Sued for Sampling Song

African singer Manu Dibango is suing both Michael Jackson and Rihanna for allegedly using his song without permission on “Don’t Stop The Music.” He filed the legal document in a Paris court on Tuesday, February 3rd.

Manu and Michael have reached an agreement upon Michael using part of Manu’s 1972 track “Soul Makossa” for Michael’s 1983 single “Wanna Be Startin’ Something.”

But, Manu is apparently upset when Rihanna borrowed the same portion of his song and only asked Michael’s permission without bothering to contact him as the original owner.

In this stage, Manu is seeking 500,000 euros or approximately 650,000 dollars in damages. Up to date, representatives for both Michael and Rihanna could not be reached for comment.

Kelly Clarkson On Clay Aiken Coming Out And Her Own Sexuality

Kelly Clarkson is asked about her former tourmate Clay Aiken and whether or not she's gay.

Says Clarkson: "I get that all the time. People are like, 'Are you secretly a lesbian? Because I’d really love it.' Lesbians tell it to me all the time. I’m like, 'I’m glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because oftentimes men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.' I could never be a lesbian.

I would never want to date [someone like] myself, ever. I’m a crazy person. I need some kind of stable, quiet man. I don’t really care if you’re black, white, yellow, gay, straight, crazy, whatever. As long as you’re cool and you like the music, and you’re coming out to have a good time at the shows, I don’t really care. I have everything I just said in my family, so I’m just used to being surrounded by that. I just don’t know any different."

On Aiken's coming out, she says: "I was actually on vacation when I found out. He called and he just said, 'You’ll probably get a lot of calls about this, but I just wanted to give you a heads up.' I honestly don’t care if he is gay or isn’t gay, and I don’t care if he tells people or doesn’t tell people. I’m not friends with him for either of those reasons. If I’m a fan of an artist, I don’t really care if you’re gay or not gay, as long as you’re making cool music."

Jennifer Hudson's performance of the national anthem is now available for download from iTunes, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Hudson-King Foundation, set up in honor of the Oscar winner's mother, brother and nephew, who were killed in October.

Although Hudson—like "America the Beautiful" singer Faith Hill did before her—lip-synced to a prerecorded track on Sunday, it was an acclaimed first step as she edges back into the spotlight.

The Dreamgirls star follows up her Super Bowl appearance Sunday with a live performance at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards and then another one Feb. 12 at the 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards.

Hudson is also on the cusp of releasing her new video for the song "If This Isn't Love."

Britney's Former Manager Sues Spears' Family

Britney Spears's former manager Sam Lutfi is suing the singer and her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, for defamation and breach of contract, L.A. court documents show.

In the lawsuit filed Tuesday, Lutfi is also claiming libel, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. "Jamie and Lynne launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney's life," the papers read. "This campaign also provided Jamie with the opportunity he needed to obtain an appointment as Britney's conservator."

Additionally, the lawsuit alleges: "Despite seemingly accomplishing their objectives, Jamie and Lynne have nevertheless continued their smear campaign against Lutfi. Thus, having no other alternative, Lutfi brings this action to defend himself against Jamie's and Lynne's persistent attacks."

Last Friday, Britney's father obtained a new restraining order against Lutfi, accusing him of harassing the Spears family. In papers, Jamie Spears and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who oversee the singer's affairs as co-conservators, alleged that Lufti and two other men "are now working in concert to disrupt the conservatorship with utter disregard for Ms. Spears's health and well being."

Kylie Minogue has recorded a song to impress her two-year-old nephew.

The aunt has teamed up with Australian children's musical group named The Wiggles because her nephew Charles, her brother Brendan's son,is such a fan.

Kylie said, "Now Charles really will think I'm cool. I hope he likes the song. It was fun to do. I might even grab a shirt and go on tour with the boys. I'm not sure what color I will be."

The '2 Hearts' singer features on new song 'Monkey Man' on forthcoming release 'The Wiggles Go Bananas'. Kylie first expressed an interest in working with the group last year.

She said, "I wish I was a member of The Wiggles. I wouldn't mind doing a duet with them." The Wiggles are Australia's most successful entertainers of the last four years, scooping a reported £21 million between 2007 to 2008.

Christina To Cover "My Delirium" By Ladyhawke?

Christina Aguilera and the band are currently working on her new album that should be out by the end of this year.

“We’ve got a few songs for her [next album]. Right now we’re still in the studio. One song is a cover of [Ladyhawke's] "My Delirium." It’s all very interesting work, and new ground for all of us involved,” Wu said in a BBC Radio 1 interview.

Britney's Little Boys Join the Circus

It will be a family affair when Britney Spears hits the road next month.

After rumors that Brit would cancel her upcoming Circus tour if Kevin Federline's lawyers didn't agree to let her take their sons with her, a rep for Spears has confirmed that the babies will be onboard.

"Britney is so excited to kick off her tour. She has been enjoying every moment of rehearsals and is looking forward to performing in front of a live audience again. Both Sean Preston and Jayden James will, in fact, be joining Britney throughout the duration of her tour," read a post to Spears' website.

Federline has primary custody of the kids, but Spears' visitation rights has her caring for them about half the time these days.

Jennifer Hudson Performing At NAACP Image Awards

Jennifer Hudson made her first foray back into public life with an emotional performance of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl Sunday – and now she has signed on to sing at the 40th NAACP Image Awards on Feb 12.

Hudson, 27, got a standing ovation after her rousing performance in Tampa, her first public appearance since her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in Chicago in October.

Hudson's next performance will be Friday, Feb. 6 at the 2009 MusiCares Foundation gala, two days before she sings at the 51st annual Grammys where she is nominated for four awards.

Britney's Circus Tour Is Back On!

Britney Spears has reportedly threatened to cancel her much-anticipated Circus tour if her kids can't go on the road with her.

So Britney's babies daddy, Kevin Federline, have been working on an arrangement to have the kids with her while touring. They'd even pay Kevin an extra $4,000 a week while she's on tour and provide an apartment for him in three base camps that Spears will have around the U.S. while touring.

However, K-Fed's lawyers were heated that they weren't part of the conversations and had no clue about the dealings. They were objecting the proposed arrangement - most likely because they weren't able to bleed more money from Britney.

Now, K-Fed's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is speaking out and he claims the situation could have been handled better if Jamie and the Spears camp would have "manned up" and spoken to K-Fed with his attorneys present.

MariahDaily was on location at the filming of the music video for "My Love," The-Dream's new single featuring Mariah Carey. Here is their exclusive first look at the video shoot which took place in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, January 31, 2009.

The one-block stretch of South Pecan Street was closed to traffic and promptly at 3:30pm, the video shooting commenced with a scene showing Mariah on a house porch singing.

Paula Abdul has claimed that her work has inspired current stars such as Rihanna and Beyoncé.

The American Idol judge said that her videos are an “almanac for every performer”, reports WENN.

She explained: “My videos stand the test of time. Even Rihanna has come up to me and said, ‘I hope you don’t mind’, and Beyoncé. You can see the influence of what I’ve done.

“It’s really fun to see that I’ve left a mark. It was my idea to create an animated character. It takes a lot of focus, a lot time, and a lot of money.”

Abdul, who recently revealed that judging the U.S. talent show can be a “tough battle” as she has to destroy young talent, rose to fame in the 1980s and sold more than 23 million records worldwide.

Jennifer vs. Whitney vs. Mariah vs. Beyonce: Star-Spangled Showdown

At Sunday's Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Jennifer Hudson made her big return to the stage with a rousing rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Hudson's brave performance following her family tragedy was reminiscent of Whitney Houston's powerful performance during the Persian Gulf War in 1991 for Super Bowl XXV, also in Tampa.

Houston, backed by an orchestra and donning a patriotic sweat suit and matching athletic headband, gave one of the most iconic interpretations of the National Anthem in history.

Danity Kane Is No Longer!!!

When "Making the Band" returns on February 12, fans already know two former Danity Kane members will be missing: Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods, who were dismissed from the group by Diddy last season. But they'll probably be surprised that Shannon Bex isn't there either, which apparently means the end of the band.

"As of right now, [Danity Kane doesn't exist]," Dawn Richard told MTV News on Wednesday (January 28). "It's devastating for me."

"You'll see me and Drea [Aundrea Fimbres] try and pick up the pieces on our own [on this season's show] — pieces that we didn't even make," she continued. "We didn't even break it and we're trying to sweep it up ourselves. Puff invited all the girls to come back on this season and they chose not to. Only two of us showed up. That's fine if that's the choice.

"It changes [our situation] completely," she said. "We have fans out there who love Danity Kane. We love Danity Kane. It's hard. We're sitting here trying to make sense of it now. It's hard. We're put in this position that we didn't ask to be in and we're being told to fix it."

Richard said that Bex apparently made the decision not to show up for the season on her own.

"I don't know why [Bex left]. I think she's just happy. I don't want to even try to answer it 'cause that's not fair to her. I haven't [spoken to her] but I heard she's doing well with her husband and she got a house. I love her, but I don't know."

Bex was coy about the issue in an interview published earlier this week.

Richard admitted that she was as surprised as anyone that she and Drea were the only members on the set. "We are the only two that showed up," she said. "The thing about it ... I thought we were all going to come back and talk, or maybe if Aubrey didn't come back, 'cause I don't know how Puff was feeling about that, if the four of us got together. I didn't know what to expect. I just know I got off the plane and found out I was the only one there and Drea came the next day."

And although Fimbres and Richard were both present for the taping of the show, it seems that Richard spent a lot of her time hanging out with fellow "MTB" castmates Day 26 trying to make the best of the situation.

"I was there every day, on my own. Sometimes Drea was there, sometimes she wasn't, 'cause she had to go fix some stuff at home," she said. "So it was me and six guys, which is great 'cause I'm a guy girl! It was fun. [But] it was very hard not knowing what the next step was going to be."

One thing that Richard is certain of is her disbelief at everything that's happened with Danity Kane in the last few months, which not only included the two dismissals but also news about Aubrey O'Day's sexuality and her forthcoming Playboy spread.

"I'm still surprised at it all. I'm still trying to recover from the first fire," she said."So I'm still confused. I still don't know. I'm just being so honest. I have no idea."

A spokesperson for Diddy and Danity Kane's rep at Atlantic Records had no comment.
