Rihanna is getting paid a staggering $500,000 to perform at a New Year's Eve bash at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi -- her first-ever performance in the Middle East.
The source said, "She was supposed to perform back in May [in Abu Dhabi], but she cancelled in the aftermath of the assault [by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown]. This is a make-up date." The songstress' spokeswoman, Amanda Silverman, did not respond to a request for comment.
But Rihanna's not the only one who will be raking in the big bucks on New Year's Eve. We hear her fellow Jay-Z collaborator, Alicia Keys, is getting paid a cool $250,000 to throw a holiday concert in Manhattan. A rep for Keys declined to comment on any details regarding her plans, saying they hadn't yet been finalized.
